Arts Legal Clinics
Artists and arts professionals are welcome to make a 30-minute appointment to meet with an attorney who specializes in arts and entertainment law. They may discuss topics such as copyright or trademark and other intellectual property topics, contract review and non-profit issues.
This year, clinics will be offered in Seattle at Seattle University School of Law and the University of Washington School of Law, in Edmonds at ArtWorks, in Everett at the Arts Council of Snohomish County, and on Bainbridge Island at the Marge Williams Center. As part of WLA’s Arts Legal Clinic expansion efforts, we are also expanding to Tacoma in Q3Y10. Continue to watch this site for upcoming dates.
Seattle Arts Legal Clinic
When - Artists: 2nd and 4th Monday of every month, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
When - Nonprofit Arts Organizations: 4th Monday of odd-numbered months, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Where: University of Washington School of Law, Seattle, Washington (May through August 2010);
Seattle University School of Law, Seattle, Washington (September 2009 through April 2010).
Cost: A $20 donation is suggested to defray WLA’s overhead expenses, like internet access and phone service. This donation is not tax-deductible.

Bainbridge Island Arts Legal Clinic
When: Monday June 28, 2010, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Where: Marge Williams Center (across from Winslow Green), 221 Winslow Way West, Suite 201, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.
